Traveling To And From Mexico City:

Please note that the government of Mexico City right now has the coronavirus situation under control. Today, Mexico City has a “green light” when it comes to coronavirus risk, and thus, traveling to/from Mexico City is safe. There are still some restrictions within the City, like face masks, etc., to prevent the spread, but people are getting vaccinated, and hospitalization rates are very low. So, by the time October comes around, the situation should be even safer.

As many of y’ll know, travelers coming from abroad to the US are required to take a COVID test at least 72 hours before their flight; so, this same requirement would apply for those coming back from Mexico City to the US by plane. The tests that satisfy this requirement for travelers is either a PCR or an antigen one. This is something that might change once October comes around. But for now, please note that we will coordinate with a lab to make sure that testing is available for our guests coming from abroad, or if need be, we can take trips to labs near San Angel to do this. If you opt to take the antigen test, it takes approximately 2 hours for you to be able to access your results. Lastly, the cost of the test is only $15.
